Realizing God the Mother’s love through a mother cow

Here is a touching story which helps us to realize the love of God the Mother in the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG). Let me deliver for you.

When the whole world was agitated by the foot-and-mouth disease shock, I came to read a special article. It was about a mother cow. Health officials injected muscle relaxants into the cows infected with the foot-and-mouth disease to euthanize them. At that time, a calf came to its mother to suck. It could vary a little, but for most cows it would take just a minute to die after getting an injection. However, the mother cow did not fall down for a few minutes, but just stood there. The reason she was desperately struggling to stand up was to breastfeed her young. Although her legs were trembling because of the pain spreading throughout her whole body, she was frantically trying to stay standing. Only after the calf finished suckling, the did the mother cow fall down. Seeing the calf circling around its mother without knowing what had happened, the officials could not help but cry. While reading the article, I also got all choked up.

I was deeply touched by the maternal love of the mother cow that thought about its young first to the last moment of its life. Even an animal has such a strong affection and love for its young. Then, how can we fathom the depth of our God the Mother’s love for us? Mother, I truly give thanks to You for Your holy love!
