Let’s gather in Zion.

Just as parents rejoice when their children gather together, God wants His saints to gather together and blesses the place where they gather.

Matthew 18:19–20 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

He said that when two people pray together, that prayer will be fulfilled, and that God will be with them where two or three people gather. This is not to say that prayers made alone will not be answered. This is the word that emphasized that the saints should strive to gather together. The apostles also encouraged the saints to gather together.

Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Then, where should God’s people strive to gather? That place is Zion. And God dwells in Zion. And he grants the blessing of eternal life to those who dwell there.

Psalm 132:13-14 For the Lord has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying, “This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.

Psalm 133:1-3 1How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.

Therefore, we must strive to gather in Zion, the dwelling place of God, where the blessing of eternal life is promised. Then, where is Zion? Zion is the place where God’s feasts are celebrated. We must make every effort to gather in Zion, where God’s feasts are celebrated.

Isaiah 33:20~22 Look on Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken. There the Lord will be our Mighty One. It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars will ride them, no mighty ship will sail them. For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.
