Holy Worship

God teaches us that we have to love God with all our heart and all our mind and all our soul. To fulfill this commandment, one of the most important duties of the people of God is the worship service.

Daniel 6:1 ]It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom, 2 with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss. 3 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. 4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. 5 Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”

Daniel was appointed as one of the administrators of the Kingdom of Babylon and others got jealous of him. And they tried to find faults with Daniel to incriminate him, but they could not find any. So they set up a trap for him through his faith in God.

They made a plan and said to the king that anyone who worship other gods except for the king must be thrown into the den of lions. Even in this situation, however, Daniel worship God and prayed to God. With the decree they devised to incriminate Daniel, they went to the king and accused Daniel of disobeying the decree of the king.

Because of this he was put into the den of lions, but still he was protected from them. But Daniel did not compromise his faith and follow the decree of the king. It was because he was determined to keep the command of God. Through this example, we can know what kind of faith should we have to love God with all my heart, soul, and mind.
