Cross-Reverence is Idolatry
Today, many people think that the cross is a symbol of the church, not an idol.
However, the cross is and idol that God forbade anyone to make.
Ex 20:4-5 You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them
God commanded us not to make and idol in the form of anything.
Is there any word that cross can be an exception? No. Bible clearly says “in the form of anything”
Lev 26:1 Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the LORD your God.
According to the Bible, when a man worships an image made of wood or stone, it is idolatry.
So, we must reject cross-reverence.
Rather, we must think about Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Only through the precious blood of Jesus, we can be saved.

Our salvation was not achieved on the cross, but through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
We must keep the truth of the new covenant established through sacrifice.
