God Established the New Covenant to Give Us Eternal Life
Rev 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
The above words show that if we add to or subtract from the teachings of the Bible, not only will we receive plagues, but also lose the privilege to enter the Kingdom of God. This means that we must follow every teaching of the Bible exactly as it is wtitten.
Jn 13:15 “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”
Jesus personally set the example of how to receive eternal life without adding to or taking away from the words of the Bible. Among the examples of Christ, let us take a look at the scene where Jesus celebrated the Passover with His disciples.
Lk 22:7-15 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.” . . . They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
Jesus and the Twelve Apostles carried out many great works. Among them, the Passover is one of the most notable and gracious scenes recorded througout the four Gospels. We should pay special attention to this scene because it is an example of Christ.
Peter, John, and all the other disciples celebrated the Passover; none of them ever rejected the Passover, saying, “it is not necessary to keep it,” Moreover, the One who desired to keep the Passover and directed the disciples to make preparation was Jesus Himself. Jesus’ purpose in coming to earth was to lead mankind to the way of eternal salvation after redeeming them from sin. Therefore, since Jesus eagerly desired to celebrate the Passover, we can understand that it is closely related to our salvation.
The New Covenant was established at the Holy Supper of the Passover by Jesus’ words of promise that the Passover bread ans sine are His flesh and blood.
Lk 22:19-20 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
Jesus had a reason for saying, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover,” That’s because eternal life is given to whoever eats Jesus’ flesh and drinks His blood (Jn 6:54). Through the covenant of the Passover, Jesus wanted to give eternal life to all mankind.
The New Covenant Passover is the truth established through Christ’s precious flesh and blood to save sinners who were destined for eternal death.

According to the Bible’s prophecy, God Himself has restored this feast, and only the Church of God has been observing it all around the world.
Thank you Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother for granting us the forgiveness of sins and the blessings of eternal life through the New Covenant Passover.
