Can you be saved if you just believe?

There is no doubt that we are saved by believing in God. But even if you believe, if you believe in vain, you will not be saved. Then, what kind of faith is a vain faith?

James 2:14–26 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? …You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?…You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. …As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Likewise, faith without acts is futile, and with such faith one cannot be saved.
Then what kind of faith should we have? We must have the faith to believe in God faithfully and act according to the Word of God.

1 John 2:3-6 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

He said that those who do not keep the commandments of God do not have the truth in them. In other words, we can see that faith that does not keep the commandments is a vain faith. He also said that those who abide in Jesus do as Jesus did. Therefore, we must keep the commandments that Jesus had kept. Then what commandments did Jesus keep? If you look at the Bible, you will find that Jesus kept the commandments such as the Sabbath, Passover, Tabernacles, and Pentecost (Matthew 26:17, Luke 4:16, John 7:2, Acts 2:1). Keeping the commandments that Jesus had kept is the true faith that can be saved.
WMSCOG is the only church that keeps the commandments as Jesus showed us. Let’s believe in God together at WMSCOG and keep His commandments. And let’s be saved together.
